Fashion, style, and growth are the themes for 2015 calender launch by IFFD

The calender cover

It is not everyday that one notices known celebrities, fashion, and infrastructural growth come under a common aesthetic platform for all to witness. While the first pair is often the case as 2 sides of the same coin, the later one comes across as different to it all as chalk and cheese. However, in a rather creative turn of events, the IFFD Calender 2015 launch took place in New Delhi, with the underlying theme of 'Growing India', putting seemingly diverse themes together. While scintillating models remain in the foreground, the background has been thematically depicted with blocks of infrastructure development amongst buildings.

Avinash Pathania, the Founder-Director of the IFFD (Indian Federation for Fashion Development), spoke about the unique concept of the high-end calender, saying "At IFFD, we take the most novel ideas and concepts and drive them with passion and creativity.  This limited edition IFFD Calendar 2015 is one such idea. For its making, we aimed at creating a calendar which can justify that fashion industry in India is mature enough to be part of any fashion campaign world over."

The brilliance of photography is credited to ace lensman Kunaal Bose, where has shot 12 of the best designs of 2014, from as many designers behind these creations. He has then gone on to amalgamate the visual treat with tinted visuals of infrastructural blocks as the backdrop.

Some of the others to bought about the glam factor of the models in each of the pictures include names like Rishi Raj (Image Consultant & stylist), Akassh Aggarwal (Jewelry Designs), Savleen Manchanda (make-up), Atul Sharma (hair-stylist). To ensure that the post-production was just as top notch, Parmjit Singh chipped in with good expertise.

India is currently looking to make big on the government's 'Make in India' campaign, which is directed towards making India a manufacturing and production hub across industries. The IFFD, known to be a marketing platform and networking opportunity for the creative and entrepreneurial minded, will contribute greatly towards the cause of the fashion industry. After all, this industrial market has the potential to reach an estimated value of $200 billion (2013, Economic Times) by the year 2025. This will make it the fastest growing market in the world along with neighbor China, and also be a dictator of economies in the times to come.

June 2015

As we hear, the circulation of the calender is in a limited edition. So those looking to grab one of these, will need to get it sourced at the earliest before it runs out of stock.
